The CDC's recommendations for organizations and employers have evolved over the course of the pandemic. They started by providing interim guidance for essential businesses who remained open during state shelter-in-place/safer-at-home restrictions. The CDC now provides information for those organizations that are reopening after some states have eased restrictions.

The current CDC recommended strategies are detailed and should be read in their entirety.

To help organizations communicate information to employees and the public, the CDC has created a Communication Resources page. It includes a Print Resources section with downloadable flyers, signs, and posters in a number of languages. It also provides a Social Media Toolkit to help with online dissemination of information.

Staying Informed

Keeping up with the avalanche of information and finding resources for guidance can seem overwhelming. Simply determining where to look can seem challenging. Below, PHLY will provide some suggestions on searching for information and collect some of the various resources organized by:

  • PHLY Resources

  • Industry-Specific Resources (grouped by type of organization and type of operation or exposure)

  • State-Specific Guidelines

  • Guidance from Federal and other National Organizations

While this list is not exhaustive, we hope it will help as a starting point. It's also important to remember that information is changing, almost daily, so checking with the original website on a regular basis is important to staying updated.

PHLY Resources

PHLY has created a Coronavirus Information page with a list of coronavirus-related resources we've published. In addition, PHLY provides a number of resources at no cost or at a discount to insureds. These resources can help provide virtual training to employees, build policies and procedures, and also help you obtain information on best practices.

PHLY customers with the SMARTERNOW! Learning Management System have access to an online Coronavirus Prevention training course. The training covers general preventative measures for virus transmission as well as strategies specific to COVID-19 and workplace prevention.

Guidance from Federal and other National Organizations
