Early Career Program Overview

Our programs provide a variety of career paths ranging from actuarial science to operations to underwriting. No matter which path you choose, you'll take on challenging projects, develop yourself both personally and professionally, and have the opportunity to make an immediate and lasting contribution to our company's success.

Summer Associates Program

The Summer Associates Program is PHLYs exclusive internship experience. It will require students to think critically about the daily responsibilities of an insurance professional. You will learn the ins and outs of the internal systems and work alongside professionals to complete team and company objectives. You will learn the impact of your department on the overall company and its success.

Program Highlights

  • The Program is 10 weeks in length (June - August)

  • Participation in a team case study which will be delivered to the leadership team

  • Weekly department presentations delivered by Senior Leadership to gain industry and company knowledge

  • Career mentor

  • Networking opportunities with Executive Leadership

  • Job training within the department at the direction of the supervising manager

Who We're Looking For

  • Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor's degree

  • Interest in learning about the Insurance Industry

  • Involvement in community and extracurricular activities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent Customer Services skills

  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Trainee Program Overview:

Launch your property and casualty insurance career through an exciting and comprehensive development program in Underwriting, Risk Management, or Marketing. This 6 to 18 months program, depending on the role, will prepare you to start a career in the P & C insurance industry. Build your PHLY culture, technical expertise, and relationship skills through:
