The PHLY Difference

PHLY's Storage Tank Environmental Policy (STEP) protects insureds from claims for bodily injury and property damage, and from remediation expenses associated with the confirmed release of contaminants into the environment from above-ground or underground storage tanks. This program meets federal requirements for owners and operators to demonstrate financial responsibility for taking corrective action and for compensating third parties for bodily injury and property damage.

  • In ground bare steel tanks without cathodic protection
  • Underground storage tanks greater than 30 years of age

Documents Required for Proposal

  • Completed and signed Storage Tank application or competitor's application
  • Last 3 years of storage tank loss runs
  • Recent tank tightness testing for any underground storage tank
  • Complete tank inventory schedule including location, tank size, tank construction, contents, piping construction and monitoring system
