Krystal Allen
Ms. Krystal Allen has served over 20 years in the insurance industry, holding various roles at PHLY, including Assistant Underwriter, Underwriter, Supervisor, Manager, and most recently, Assistant Vice President. Ms. Allen's diverse experience has given her a depth of knowledgein underwriting operations, comprehensively understanding key systems, back-of-house functions, and product management processes. As Vice President of Underwriting Operations, Ms. Allen will oversee teams responsible for the company's endorsements, policy administration, automatic renewals, and small new business quoting. She has a team of over 145 people who handle more than 295,000 transactions annually.
Ms. Allen earned her bachelor's degree at Regis University.
Ashley Varland
Ms. Ashley Varland has over 18 years in the industry and joined PHLY in 2013 as an Underwriter in the company's Central Region which comprises five states. Most recently, Ms. Varland oversaw PHLY's small commercial renewal team and played a prominent role integrating World Wide Specialty's temporary staffing business. With her promotion to Vice President of Underwriting Operations, she will work closely with product managers and PHLY's Corporate Underwriting division to assess PHLY's automatic renewal process and other underwriting initiatives. In addition, she will continue to oversee the small commercial renewal team and collaborate with departments to identify automation opportunities and self-service improvements to support our agents.
Ms. Varland earned a bachelor's degree in insurance and risk management from Missouri State University and an MBA from Pittsburg State University.
