Three Non-Profits Score Donations from Philadelphia Insurance Runs for Charities

Rather than at Citizens Bank Park, smiling faces filled up our Zoom screens for a celebration of three Philadelphia-area non-profits. It was a virtual celebration for the beneficiaries of the Philadelphia Insurance Runs for Charities program, a partnership where PHLY donates $50 for every Philadelphia Phillies run scored throughout the season. Even with the shortened season due to COVID-19, the Phillies tied for 5th for total runs scored in all of Major League Baseball, which resulted in a donation of $15,000 with $5,000 going to each three deserving loyal PHLY customers.

The charitable beneficiaries included:
  • Keystone Human Services - Keystone provides support and expertise so that everyone can be included and have a valued presence in the community.
  • ACENDA, Integrated Health - Acenda provides over 100 life-enhancing programs and services to individuals, families, and communities across ten counties in New Jersey.
  • Williamson College of the Trades - Williamson College of the Trades prepares qualified young men to be respected leaders and productive members of society.

Videos highlighting each non-profit's mission played on Zoom before leaders from each organization shared a few words and accepted their donation virtually. We thank the Phillies for knocking in all those runs and working with us during these uncertain times. Also a big thanks for our friends at USI, The Graham Company, and Arthur J Gallagher for their valued partnership. And congratulations to our three Charities being recognized.
