Four new non-profits received grants in the fifth year of the Philadelphia Insurance Runs for Charities program. The organizations were recognized at Citizen's Bank Ballpark and shared the $39,800 donated by Philadelphia Insurance Companies.
Each year, PHLY donated $50 per for each run scored during the season by the Philadelphia Phillies. The Phils scored 796 total runs in 2023, benefiting these four organizations:
- Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania - For more than 70 years, Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania has been helping people with disabilities gain greater independence.
- HACE - HACE's mission is to build just and equitable neighborhoods for residents and small businesses through the development of affordable housing and commercial spaces, providing supportive services, engaging residents and stakeholders, and supporting small businesses to grow the neighborhood's economic base and increase job opportunities to nurture the community's rich cultural diversity.
- Person Directed Supports - Person Directed Supports' goal is to provide essential resources and supports in a loving, caring environment to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- OTC Services - OTC Services helps adults with disabilities at work, home, and beyond by training over 500 individuals each year in a wide variety of vocational disciplines.
We thank the Phillies for knocking in all those runs and working with us during these uncertain times. Also, a big thanks to our friends at The Graham Company, Johnson, Kendall & Johnson, Rue Insurance and Arthur J Gallagher for their valued partnership. And congratulations to our four charities being recognized.
