John Doyle

Executive Vice President & Chief Underwriting Officer

Mr. John Doyle currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer of Philadelphia Insurance Companies (PHLY). Starting in 1989, he's spent his entire career at PHLY serving various roles in the Claims, Product Development, and Underwriting departments. Throughout his tenure, Mr. Doyle has had division oversight of our Sports and Recreation, Habitational/Real Estate, Public Service, and Human Service divisions. He was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2014 and was named Chief Underwriting Officer in 2020. Mr. Doyle has played an integral role in the development and launch of many commercial products, including most of PHLY's current Sports & Recreation products.

Mr. Doyle earned a BS in Finance from Saint Joseph's University in 1992. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Maguire Academy of Insurance and Risk Management at Saint Joseph's University and has also served as a mentor in our Next Level Mentoring Program. Mr. Doyle lives in Chadds Ford, PA with his wife and two sons.
